Christmas Vacation

Noon on Christmas day we were headed to Arizona with Neil's mom, Brother Brian and his family in our trucks and trailers. Neil's mom has family down there and we went to spend time with them, enjoy the warm weather and play on our four-wheelers.

Neil's cousin build this teeter totter on steroids from an old trampoline frame. It gave us hours of fun. In this next one, Tina is upside down and I'm at the top. Great times! We went to the Glamis Sand Dunes which happens to be the sand dune capital of the US. That place is huge!

Zoey's four-wheeler isn't tough enough for the sand as it's only meant for hard surfaces (besides, what crazy parents would take their kid to the sand dunes at that age?!?) But, Zoey loves to just sit on it anyway. This worked out well for her.
Brian's twins got little PW50 dirt bikes with training wheels for Christmas. It was cute to watch them learn. (and yes he has a strap hooked on the back, that's so he can stop them when they don't steer) Grandma was the hero for pulling the girls around in a sled!
The dunes here are so vast and there isn't really a very good landmark to find camp again. Neil and I used the GPS on our phones to pinpoint camp and different cool spots at the dunes. (and we didn't get very many action shots while we were riding, WHAT were we thinking?) On busy weekends at Glamis they have drag races. There is a big open flat area of sand where people race and show off for hours. That was seriously so cool and we saw a lot of really expensive toys too.

Neil did some wheelie initiation for his cousins. Good times :)

We made Neil's mom do it too. She's a good sport.

We enjoyed a few days of beautiful sunny weather but it hit almost record cold temperatures for Arizona while we were there. We go to get away from the cold and the cold follows us! Go figure!

We did some mountainy cactus riding at a place called Queen Valley. It was so cold but there were enough brave ones to go for a ride.

On New Years Eve we celebrated with a huge party at the church with about 125 friends and family. DJ Extraordinaire Neil put on a great party for everyone. We had a great time ringing in the New Year!
And after a great trip we drove home on New Years Day. We had a great time with family and really enjoyed our vacation! (PS - I'm not really sure what the deal is... but Blogger is being really difficult and adding weird spacing and formatting. So ignore it please...darn Blogger)
