Neil's Cabinets...Again

As you may recall Neil recently did some upgrades in the kitchen in one of our rental units. Last Monday Neil spent a few hours there finishing the last touch up spots; put in a light fixture over the sink, tidied some cabinet finishes, molding etc. Finally done!

Tuesday (as we were loading up to leave for vacation) we get a call from our tenant. They had done some remodeling of their own....

There is smoke damage from the ceiling down 2 feet all down the hallway, into the bathroom and living room (notice the black ceiling in the picture?). Melted window blinds. Destroyed oven, destroyed brand new hood, for sure the 3 cabinets above and next to the stove, etc etc.

Couldn't this have happened a month ago??? Oh well, it could have been a lot worse. Thankfully there is insurance!
