Easter Weekend

We spent last week (4 days) at the Little Sahara Sand Dunes. Easter weekend is the busiest weekend there all year with 10's of thousands of people. We left Friday afternoon before having to deal with too many crazies.

All day Tuesday was the most horrendous wind storm I've ever seen. We stayed inside our nice trailer most of the day. That day was Neil's brother, Brian's birthday. His parents came down with cake and ice cream. Lucky we have a large trailer to fit in the 18 adults and children to keep us out of the wind.
Wednesday and Thursday it snowed and was super cold. But we did get some riding in. The Wrangler is Kelli's Jeep, which Neil, Zoey and I ride in with Kelli. The Cherokee is Brian's. Usually jeeps and trucks sink in the sand but with the moisture in the sand they did awesome.

Brian forced me to ride a dirt bike. I screamed the whole way through it and only fell over once!

I have to put in a pic of Zoey. This was our first overnighters away from home. She did really great and we kept her bundled up nice and warm. She even went out in the jeep and pretty much slept through all of it.

It was an ok trip. The weather put a big damper on it. Brian's best friend, Kevin, went to the hospital with a dislocated shoulder and sprained ankle - hope you get better soon! We didn't get near as much riding in as we would have liked. But still we were glad we were able to go and still had a good time despite the circumstances.
